Wanted - Community Governor for Anthony Roper Primary School
A vacancy will arise for a member of the community to serve as a governor of our local primary school from 1st September.
Being a school governor is an increasingly demanding role; school governing bodies being responsible for:
·Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
·Holding the headtecher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils, and the performance management of staff
·Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent
However, serving as a school governor is a very rewarding way to put something back into the community and helping positively shape the lives of local children.
