Eynsford Parish Council

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

in accordance with Section 87(2) of the Local Government Act 1972, that due to the

resignation of Vince Robson, a vacancy has arisen in the office of Councillor for the Parish

Council.

If by 10 August 2026 (14 days excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays, after the

date of this notice) a request for an election to fill the said vacancy is made in writing to the

Proper Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the Eynsford Parish Council, an

election will be held to fill the vacancy. If an election is not requested the vacancy will be

filled by co-option as soon as is practicable.

On receipt of a valid request, the Returning Officer will set the date of an election to be

held within 60 days of this notice (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays), in

accordance with Rule 5 of the Local Elections (Parishes and Communities) (England and

Wales) Rules 2006.

If an election is called, it will take place not later than 13 October 2026.
