Twinning in Eynsford!

On 7th November, Eynsford will complete the final part of its formal twinning with the village of Camphin en Pevele which is near Lille in France.
At 12 noon the twinning charter will be signed by the 'mayor' and chair of the twinning committee from each village. Our 'mayor' aka Sarah Boyle, Chair of the Parish Council will be signing for Eynsford alongside Margery Robinson, Chair of the Twinning Committee. As part of the ceremony, members of the Anthony Roper School O2 choir will be singing.
All are invited to attend the event at St Martin's Church and to stay for a celebratory drink afterwards.
The French party will be hosted by members of the Eynsford Twinning Committee (Association de Eynsford & Camphin - ACE). They will get a taste of village life with a meal in the tea rooms, a trip to the fireworks and a historic tour of the village. They will also participate in the Remembrance Service and Act of Remembrance on Sunday.
Will hope this will be a start of a long entente cordiale with future exchanges taking place in the coming years.
