May Day in Eynsford

Eynsford is very lucky to be able to celebrate May Day every year - the traditional start of spring - with a visit from the Wadard Morris Men. Starting at dawn (5.32am) on 1st May, the morris men perform a variety of songs and dances at Riverside, Eynsford. Residents who have managed to get up early enough are rewarded with a great performance and often a tot or rum or whisky with a spot of fruit cake. The event finishes off with a charity duck race.
