Gold Award for Eynsford's Green Team!

Our wonderful Green Team were recenty awarded a GOLD in the wilder Kent awards.
The Wilder Kent Awards is a scheme set up by Kent Wildlife Trust to recognise and reward the work schools, community groups, businesses as well as villages, towns are cities are doing in helping us create a #WilderKent. By taking positive actions to restore nature, they are helping to create a more climate-resilient county and provide a home for wildlife. Their action benefits us locally and helps tackle the global environmental threats we all face.
We were delighted to be one of 10 community groups in Kent receiving a Gold Award.
The judges said:
'Eynsford Green Team have made a remarkable difference to their village environment through consistent, hands-on conservation action. They have enhanced local green spaces with wildlife-friendly planting, created and maintained wildflower areas for pollinators, installed and cared for bird and insect habitats, and managed areas of grassland more sensitively to increase biodiversity. Through regular volunteer work parties and community litter picks, they have improved habitats while keeping the village welcoming and well cared for. Their collaboration with the parish council and local residents has ensured that environmental improvements are both sustainable and community-led. By combining practical habitat creation with strong local engagement, Eynsford Green Team are delivering meaningful, visible benefits for wildlife right at the heart of their village.'
