Community Award for Local Resident

At our Annual Parish Meeting in March an award was presented by the High Sheriff of Kent Hugo Fenwick for Audrey Gee. Parish Council Chair Sarah Boyle accepted the award on her behalf.

Unfortunately Mrs Gee was unable to attend the event and the award was presented to her at a later parish council meeting.

Mrs Gee was District Councillor for Eynsford for many years and also acted as Chair to Eynsford Village Society. Mrs Gee helped to set up the Tuesday Club - a weekly, pop-in club for our older residents. The award contained the following citation:

FOR AN OUTSTANDING CONTRIBUTION TO THE COMMUNITY OF EYNSFORD OVER MANY YEARS, PARTICULARLY WITH REGARD TO THE NEEDS OF THE ELDERLY, INCLUDING CHAIRING THE EYNSFORD VILLAGE SOCIETY AND WORKING AS DISTRICT COUNCILLOR FOR EYNSFORD
