Act of Remembrance

On Sunday 9th November many people attended the Act of Remembrance at the war memorial led by Rev Gary Owen. 

Members of the uniformed groups (scouts, guides, brownies, cubs, beavers and rainbows), representatives from village organisations and groups, and members of the public observed a minute's silence to remember those who had fallen during the world wars and subsequent conflicts, and to remember those who had served and continued to serve in the armed forces. Wreaths were laid at the two memorial stones by groups and individuals.

Thank you to Darent Valley Youth Music for providing the music and the Last Post, to Eynsford in Bloom volunteers who tidied up the memorial in preparation for the event, to the volunteers who helped with the road closures and everyone else involved in the service.
